Yeah!!!!
Salam folks,
MIST Toronto may be over but doesn’t mean we all have to pack our bags. No, actually the competition has just begun. The top 5 in each competition moves on to the Nationals. The exact location and date is TBA but it should be after your high school exams inshAllah.
So did you make it? Find out by clicking here.
Salam folks,
Another year gone, another MIST happened. Jazakallah khair to all the teams and guests that came out! And a big thank you to the coaches that sacrificed their weekend to attend (and showed patience with the schedule chaotically changing every few minutes).
With over 400 people attending the final ceremonies and nearly 300 competitors, this year’s MIST Toronto was a resounding success. There are plenty of things we’ll be doing next year like:
- extending schedule to three days (one day of March Break + weekend)
- dedicated day for Awards Ceremony (so it won’t run as long)
- bigger venue
That’s it essentially. But you won’t have to wait another year. Coming soon will be the NATIONALS QUALIFICATION list that will be posted momentarily. If you made the top 5 in your competition you will automatically qualify for MIST Nationals that should be happening after your exams. Location and Dates TBA. But it’d be nice to have a massive Toronto team to invade and cause rowdiness.
Heyo. In order to ensure we all start in time we have to make sure that registration process is smooth as cake. It’ll be like the airport with arrival times. Your ENTIRE team must be there at that designated time or else you risk losing points. Trust me, every point matters at this tournament.
8:30am: Leaside, Marc Garneau, Riverdale, Islamic Foundation
8:45am: Winston Churchill, David & Mary Thomson, Delphi Alternative
9:00am: Stephen Lewis, The Woodlands, ISNA, Gordon Graydon, Glenforest
9:15am: Erindale, Milton District, E.C. Drury, Bishop Reding, Robert Bateman, Oakville Trafalgar, White Oaks
9:30am: Sherwood, McNab, Sir John A. MacDonald, Hill Park, Barton
Team leaders, please ensure your team arrives on time. You don’t want to cost your team precious points.
Hey Hamiltonians and Oakvillians. There is a bus ploughing through for the weekend inshAllah. It might be packed though. So ask the A-man (Adil).
If you are playing basketball and using this bus you MAY have to arrange alternative transportation for Sunday morning but we’re trying our best to get you guys there on time as well as putting Hamilton/Oakville teams on the last part of the rotation for basketball. That’s how we roll.
